About Padel

Padel is played on a smaller court than tennis, about a third of the size and it’s enclosed by glass walls. Just like squash those walls are in play. Games are normally played in doubles creating social, fast and long rallies.

The Court

Outdoor padel tennis court with blue surface, enclosed by black glass and wire fencing, in an urban area with surrounding buildings and advertisements, sunny sky.

Padel rackets are solid with small holes instead of strings, making them easy to handle. The balls are very similar to tennis ones. All else you need for a great game is some comfy sports wear and a pair of trainers with good grip.

The Equipment

Padel racket leaning against a net with three tennis balls on the court.

Scoring is exactly the same as tennis. Serves are underhand, the ball must bounce before hitting the wall and after that the fun begins. Since its nearly always doubles, padel is all about teamwork, quick rallies and plenty of laughs.

The Rules
